What is Juvéderm XC?  

Juvéderm XC™ is a gel made of hyaluronic acid, it is clear and comed in a smooth consistency. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It gives volume to the skin, lubricates the joints and gives the eyes their shape.  There is lidocaine added into the product to make the procedure more comfortable.

Avaliable in Ultra, and Ultra Plus depending on the need.

Are there any side-effects associated with Juvéderm XC?  

Reactions such as swelling, redness and tenderness might occur, as possible in all injections.  Some patients can get bruising with injections.  We recommend using Arnica Montana a few days prior to treatment, to help prevent brusing.

How long does Juvéderm XC last?  

There are two different types of Juvederm XC, Ultra and Ultra Plus.  The Juvederm Ultra XC is said to last a year, most patients are ready for a touch up of the filler in about 9 months.  The Juvderm Ultra Plus XC is a thicker gel that dends to last a bit longer.  However, please keep in mind, everyone does absorb products differently, and individual results may vary.

Where can it be used?  

Juvéderm can be used in many places on the face.  Most common are the border of the lips to lessen wrinkles, and give a full smile, smile lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
